Vellinga, Else C. Lepiotaceous fungi in California, U.S.A. —2. Lepiota rhodophylla sp. nov. Mycotaxon 98: 205 - 211. 2006. ABSTRACT: A new Lepiota species with spurred spores and a pileus covering made up of repent hyphae is described from a Cupressus macrocarpa stand in central coastal California. Thick pinkish lamellae and sturdy pink-lilac brown basidiocarps are striking macroscopical characters of this species. KEYWORDS: biodiversity, native forest, Agaricaceae, steno-spored species |
