ABSTRACT: Thedgonia ligustrina, the agent of Ligustrum leaf-spot, and Gloeosporidiella turgida, known as a parasite of Fraxinus, are reported for the first time on Syringa spp. Both fungi were found in Sweden, the first in a tree nursery in the south, and the second on plants cultivated in Uppsala. Brief descriptions and illustration are provided and the distribution of T. ligustrina is reviewed.
