Ramaley, Annette W. The connection of Dothidotthia aspera (Botryosphaeriaceae) to a hyphomycetous anamorphic fungus, Thyrostroma negundinis. Mycotaxon 94: 127-132. 2005. ABSTRACT: Dothidotthia aspera was believed to have a coelomycetous anamorph. However, cultures of the fungus from several substrata, including species of Fendlera, Acer, Euonymus, Symphoricarpos, and Robinia, were indistinguishable from cultures of the Stigmina hyphomycete from the same substrata. This hyphomycete, Stigmina negundinis, is transferred as Thyrostroma negundinis. KEYWORDS: coelomycete, teleomorph |
