ABSTRACT: A new sequestrate species in the Cortinariaceae, Hymenogaster raphanodorus sp. nov., is described from xeric mixed woodland in Northern California. We compare H. raphanodorus with other known Hymenogaster spp. with respect to both morphology and ITS sequences.
