ABSTRACT: Four species of Bovista and Lycoperdon occurring in Brazil are described: B. aestivalis, L. nigrescens (new record for South America), L. perlatum and L. pyriforme (new record for northeast Brazil). A key for these species and SEM images of spore ornamentation are provided.
