Bahcecioglu, Zeliha & Halvor B. Gjaerum. New and rare rust fungi (Uredinales) from Anatolia (Turkey) - 2. Mycotaxon 90: 55-68. 2004. ABSTRACT: Twenty-two rust taxa are reported from Anatolia in Turkey. Three of them are described as new species, Phragmidium sarcopoterii on Sarcopoterium spinosum, Puccinia onosmaticola on Onosma molle and Uromyces dorystoechadis on Dorystoechas hastata. Puccinia tepperi on Phragmites australis is reported for the first time outside Australia while four other taxa are reported for the first time in Turkey: Ochropsora ariae on Anemone blanda, Fromme'lla tormentillae on Potentilla sp., Puccinia constricta on Teucrium orientale, and Zaghoania phillyreae on Phillyria latifolia. Some new hosts for previously known species in Turkey are reported. KEYWORDS: microfungi, new taxa, parasite |
