ABSTRACT: A new species of Perrotia is reported from the Tongariro area in New Zealand. Perrotia microspora is described from branches of Halocarpus bidwillii. The ovoid ascospores and other hymenial elements indicate that P. microspora is closely related to P. robusta and P. gallica var. gallica known from Europe, and P. gallica var. phyllocladi, which is only known from a single locality in New Zealand.
