Grand, L. F. & C. S. Vernia. Biogeography and hosts of poroid wood decay fungi in North Carolina: species of Phellinus and Schizopora. Mycotaxon 89: 181-184. 2004. ABSTRACT: Distribution and host plants in North Carolina are given for 21 species of Phellinus and three species of Schizopora. A county distribution map is provided for each species. Phellinus johnsonianus, P. linteus and P. melleoporus and Schizopora flavipora are reported for the first time in North Carolina. Numerous new fungus-host plant associations are reported.
