Shin, Hyeon-Dong & Young-Joon Choi. First record of Erysiphe weigelae from Korea and its anamorph. Mycotaxon 86: 269 - 275. 2003. ABSTRACT: Erysiphe weigelae, a powdery mildew fungus on Weigela spp., has hitherto been recorded from China and Japan. The anamorphic characters of this species were poorly known. The conidial state of this species is described and illustrated based on Korean collections. The presence of secondary hyphae found in E. weigelae represents the first record for a powdery mildew of the tribe Erysipheae. KEYWORDS: Weigela, powdery mildew, Erysiphaceae, primary conidia, secondary hyphae |
