ABSTRACT: Minimelanolocus olivaceus anam. sp. nov., found on a decaying runner-like stem attached to a rotten leaf of unidentified species in a rainforest in Brazil, is described and illustrated. This new species is characterized by obclavate, 2-3(4)- septate, very pale olivaceous, smooth conidia. Notes on previously described species are given. Additional hyphomycetes are recorded for the first time from rainforests in Brazil. KEY WORDS: Hyphomycetes, tropical fungi, Sympodioplanus |
