ABSTRACT: Uredo sarcocollae (Uredinales) is described as a new species. It is the first known rust fungus from the Penaeaceae, which are endemic in South Africa. The host plant, Saltera sarcocolla, grows in the Fynbos in the south-western Western Cape Province.
