ABSTRACT: A new species of endophytic dematiaceous hyphomycete, Kumbhamaya jalapriva, producing falcate to vermiform, non-septate, colourless phialoconidia, was isolated from submerged live roots of Hoppea ponga (Dipterocarpaceae) from a perennial stream in the forests of Western Ghats in southern India.
