| Keshava Prasad, T. S. & D. J. Bhat. Stellomyces kendrickii, a new hyphomycete from India, Mycotaxon 84: 61-63. 2002.
ABSTRACT: A new species of hyphomycete, Stellomyces kendrickii, is decsribed. It produces single, cuneiform or triangular to kite-shaped, unicellular, smooth, colourless, blastic conidia at the tip of each of several very long denticles which radiate from small apical (subsequently intercalary) vesicles on a sympodially extending conidiophore. It was isolated from decaying twigs of Hopea ponga (Dipterocarpaceae) in the forests of Western Ghats in southern India, KEYWORDS: Biodiversity, tropical fungi, taxonomy NOMENCLATURAL NOVELTIES: |
