ABSTRACT: The new lichenicolous ascomycete, Lichenopeltella heterodermiicola, was discovered on Heterodermia speciosa from Arkansas, USA. The new species has catathecioid ascomata lacking ostiolar setae and 8-spored asci apparently lacking setulae.
