ABSTRACT: Crossopsora piperis is described as a new species of rust fungi (Uredinales) on Piper hostmannianum from Brazil. It is the first member of the genus Crossopsora on Piperaceae. Uredo piperinum (= Cerotelium piperinum) is its uredinial anamorph.
