ABSTRACT: The distribution of Battarrea phalloides in Mexico is presented. Actually it is only known from the north and central part of the country. It has been usually collected in arid and semiarid areas and several times associated with Schinus molle in urban zones of different Mexican states. The largest basidiomata were observed on the floodplain of the Tastiota estuary associated with halophilic vegetation. KEYWORDS: Chorology, Taxonomy, Tulostomatales, Battarreaceae
