ABSTRACT: This paper focuses on some specimens of Favolaschia calocera found for the first time in Italy and, probably, in Europe. A detailed description is given of the collecting areas and the micro- and macroscopic characteristics of the species. The taxonomical position of the genus Favolaschia is also discussed along with some hypotheses about the diffusion in northern Italy of this pan-tropical genus.
