ABSTRACT: Two bambusicolous species of the genus Hypocrella are reported and described from southwestern China. One of them is identified as a new species, namely Hypocrella tenuispora. Its diagnosis and illustrations are given and differences from other similar species are discussed. Another species, H. bambusae, is re-described in detail based upon Chinese collections. Both species are endemic in southeastern Asia.
