| Timdal, Einar & Hildur Krog. Further studies on African species of the lichen genus Phyllopsora (Lecanorales). Mycotaxon 77: 57-89. 2001. ABSTRACT: Twenty species of Phyllopsora are recorded from Africa, including the new species P. africana, P. borbonica, P. dolichospora, P. nemoralis, and P. swinscowii. New chemical strains are recorded in P. albicans, P. chlorophaea, P. furfuracea, and P. halei. Lacinules are recognized as vegetative propagules in P. albicans, P. buettneri, P. chlorophaea, P. confusa, and P. mediocris. KEYWORDS: Taxonomy, rainforest, Tanzania, Mascarenes
