Ortega, A. & F. Esteve-Raventós. On the presence of Russula laccata in Sierra Nevada (Andalucia, southern Spain) and its taxonomic relationships with R. norvegica. Mycotaxon 77: 39-45. 2001.

ABSTRACT: Based on abundant material collected in Sierra Nevada (Andalucia, Spain) and the study of type material, the authors conclude that Russula laccata Huijsman and R. norvegica Reid belong to the same species. Taxonomic comments about the variability of some characters are made. Microphotographs made under S.E.M. of the spores of both taxa are given for comparison.
