ABSTRACT: A new monotypic genus, Parahaplotrichum, is established based upon a collection made some eighty-one years ago on decorticated wood in Idaho, housed in the U.S. National Fungus Collections, but originally misidentified as Oospora fulva [= Haplotrichum dubium].
