ABSTRACT: Some of the most interesting Italian aphyllophoraceous wood-inhabiting fungi have been collected at Lanaittu Valley. At the end of 1999 collections were recorded representing 44 species from 30 genera. The valley has a typical Mediterranean vegetation with some multicentenarian trees of Juniperus phoenicea and J. oxycedrus subsp. macrocarpa.
