ABSTRACT: Type studies on some North American Lepiota species reveal that several well-known European names have to be changed. 1. Lepiota magnispora replaces L.ventriosospora; 2. Leucoagaricus barssii comb. nov. is an older name for L. pinguipes and L. macrorhizus; and 3. Leucoagaricus americanus comb. nov. replaces L. bresadolae.
