| Barr, Margaret E. Notes on coprophilous bitunicate Ascomycetes. Mycotaxon 76: 105-112. 2000. ABSTRACT: Comparison of variations in morphological features occurring in coprophilous bitunicate Ascomycetes leads to recognition of their relative importance. The presence or absence of germ pores or germ slits in ascospores, of variations in ascus apical anatomy, and of presence or absence of periphyses in the ostiole, in combination permit separation into three families: Phaeotrichaceae, Sporormiaceae, and the newly described Delitschiaceae.
