ABSTRACT: A new species of Ramichloridium de Hoog, R. bacillisporum Baker & Partdrige, is described from a collection made on leaf galnds of Crataegus flava Ait., in Alabama. It is readily distinguishable from previously described species by its bacilliform conidial shape. Some commenatry is made on the similarity between Ramichloridium and species of Veronaea Ciferri & Montemartini.
