ABSTRACT: Echinosphaeria pteridis sp. nov. and itsanamorph, Vermiculariopsiella pteridis sp. nov.,was isolated as an endophyte from a pteridophyte, Pteris vittata, collected from the Western Ghats in India. This is the second report of culture-based teleomorph-anamorph connection in Vermiculariopsiella.
