ABSTRACT: Boletellus piakaii (Boletaceae, Boletales, Basidiomycota) is described as new to science. Boletellus ananas var. ananas is recorded for the first time from the Guiana Shield region. These boletes were collected from tropical forests dominated by ectomycorrhizal Dicymbe spp. (Caesalpiniaceae) in the Pakaraima Mountains of western Guyana. A key is provided for Boletellus species known to occur in Guyana.
