ABSTRACT:   Three species of Hypoxylon described by A.C. Batista were revised. Hypoxylon bombacinum is confirmed as a valid species while H. calyptra and H. vitalii are considered synonyms of H. rubiginosum and Whalleya maculata, respectively.
