ABSTRACT:  A survey on wood-decay fungi from mangroves in Santa Catarina Island (Southern Brazil) resulted in numerous species of fungi. One of them, Cytospora rhizophorae, is the first record in Brazil. Laguncularia racemosa has been recorded as its host for the first time.
