ABSTRACT:   A new Melanelixia species characterized by the presence of cortical hairs and wart-like isidia, M. subvillosella, is described from China. Melanelia subverruculifera is reported as a new synonym of Melanelixia villosella. A key to the nine known Melanelixia species is also provided.
