ABSTRACT: The holotypes and additional materials of Clitocybe pseudophyllophila and C. subcandicans, originally described from China in 1985, were critically restudied. New evidence proved that they should be placed under Clitopilus for their pinkish basidiospores with longitudinal ridges. All re-examined specimens labeled as C. pseudophyllophila and C. subcandicans were identical to Clitopilus crispus.
