web - starting work on new website
I made a backup copy of the existing Mycotaxon site, create a site flow diagram to understand the current file structure, and developed a slightly more hierarchical site structure to make updating and maintenance on the site easier.Hopefully people who have bookmarked internal pages will recognize that the slight inconvenience of re-navigating to the pages that they bookmarked is made up for by the easier site navigation.
I'm impressed that the previous site worked for as long as it did! I did the original site design was back in 1995...I think it was time for a new look!! I really admire Dick Korf's ability to maintain the site for all these intervening years and am happy to help him out with the site maintenance now...
